Hopper Labs recently launched a new YouTube Channel where we are posting videos about Hopper use and production. Videos are uploaded weekly, along with monthly giveaways and special events all on the channel. Subscribe here. Our latest video covers some of the testing and quality control that happens at our assembly facility. We've been working on improving the testing processes for the last two years.

Hopper Anodization
The Titanium Grasshopper comes in six unique finishes. The plain machined Titanium, and anodized, Blue, Green, Purple, Bronze and Dark Grey. The colors are created using a specialized process known as anodization. Parts are placed in an ion-rich bath while an electric current is applied. This begins the process of building an oxide layer over the material. By adjusting voltage and time, the color achieved can be accurately controlled.

Hopper Labs 4/20 Wrap-up
First off we hope everyone had a wonderful 4/20. This year we attended the rally in Denver, Co. As Denver is just 40 minutes from our facilities in Boulder, it was an obvious choice to bring some of the team down and showcase the Grasshopper.

What is a Vaporizer?
A vaporizer is a device that uses a temperature controlled heating element to heat liquids until they undergo a phase change to their vapor state. A familiar example of this process is that of boiling water. As water in a hot kettle begins to boil it becomes steam or water vapor. The steam is very similar to the vapor produced by the Grasshopper. To understand how vaporization works for dried herbs we must first understand what we are vaporizing.

Shipping Update July/August
Jul 8, 2018Thanks for taking a minute to read about our latest progress and developments. In July we successfully sustained a combine 200 units a week of assembly and warranty. Our new heating component assembly line is operating smoothly paving the way for higher volumes in the coming months, and the addition of more automation is making the whole process faster.

May 1, 2018Hello Hoppers! It’s been without a doubt a tumultuous 6 months. As you all know, over this period we've had to delay our operations due to issues arising with our previous manufacturer. This has angered a fragment of our new/existing user base because we’ve been unable to fulfill both new orders and RMA’s in a timely manner, and for that, we’re truly sorry. Nonetheless, we’re continuing an ongoing effort to share what has transpired and where we are headed next.
